| NOTE *1 The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is located behind the Center Console on the floor. Remove the BLACK panel to the right of the Gas Pedal, the carpet covers this panel, the plugs face the drivers side of the vehicle.
NOTE *2 This vehicle uses a 1-Wire Door Locking System, LOCK requires a (-)Negative thru a 1000 Ohm Resistor and UNLOCK requires a straight (-)Negative, some units will also require 2 extra relays part #R30-H, to connect, See DIAGRAM
NOTE *3 This wire rests at GROUND when the door is closed and it is an OPEN circuit when the door is open, you must use a relay part #R30-H and break, Use this wire for DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION, to connect, See DIAGRAM
NOTE *4 The TACH wire on the ZETEC Engine is a GREEN/PURPLE or GREEN/WHITE at the Coil Pack. On the DURATEC Engine there is a Coil at each cylinder, use a wire that is NOT WHITE/PURPLE at one of the coils.
