The 86 Maxima production dates are 9-85 to 12-85. The 87 Maxima started production on 1-86 with changes from the 86 model year. [1] These are colors for cars equipped with keyless entry (keypad on door). For non-keyless cars, look for a blue/red wire (5 wire) for unlock and a white/black (-) for lock in the driver's door. [2] Sunroof operated by (-) pulse on white and red wires at switch.
